Story time

Today I got to read to Lexi's class. We choose How Rocket Learned to Read. What a fun story about learning how to read. A perfect choice to share with the preschool friends. I was so happy to do this and Lexi was so proud to have her mommy in her class reading.

Just to mention, horrible picture of myself, but that is the only one I have.

Missing tooth number 2!

Lexi lost her second tooth today. She is pretty shy about it, but feels like a big girl. She was quite disappointed because she physically lost it. She was trying so hard this time to be able to keep it, as she lost the first one as well. She lost it at school today, we think at lunch time. The good thing is we still had the note that we put out for the tooth fairy the last time. A note that explains that we lost the tooth and we are not sure where it is. Last time it worked, let's see how it goes this time.

Carli's first crush

Carli's first crush ... Jack M., she is so obsessed! Notice how she puts the J A C in the middle of the page, has no room left so starts at the beginning with K and an M for his last name (they have two Jack's in the class). She also had to practice lots of "J"'s. I absolutely LOVE this age!!

Baby got a new pair of shoes ...

Today Gavin got his first pair of shoes. Now that he is walking good, time for some shoes! He was not quite sure what to do when he first put them on, but soon enough he took a few steps. Honestly, I think he was more into the train table and everything else they had, as opposed to buying his new shoes. We can tell he is not a girl! We did find a perfect size 4.5 blue shoe for my little man.

God Bless Gavin Jace

Today was Gavin's baptism. What a beautiful event filled with so many family and friends. Gavin did so well at mass and only cried for a second when he was getting baptized with the holy water. Gavin is my little angel and will always have such a blessed life! Today was all about Gavin and he loved every minute of it. Gavin even got to show off his new walking skills.

Happy Birthday Poppa

Today Poppa had a birthday. Poppa turned 41! We love to celebrate birthdays around this house. Young or old or 21 for the 21st time, we celebrate! Situ was in town, as we also have Gavin's baptism this weekend. We made poppa a nice big dinner, the girls even rolled the meatballs. We made him his favorite jello cake. Auntie Tamara and Uncle Darren came over to help us celebrate. Poppa got a fishing pole, with two extra so he had enough to share (we sure do have a smart mommy) and some Wii video games. The dancing one was a big hit. Poppa, Lexi and Carli had a few dance offs. Fishing also went well! By day two, Lexi caught two of her very own fish. Poppa the fisherman that he is not, was afraid that Lexi would actually catch a fish. He had no clue what to do. In the end, the fish, hook and all were cut from the line and back to swimming in the canal.
