Happy Birthday Alexi ... my 6 year old

Six years ago the most amazing thing happened to me, I became a mom! Happy Birthday to my 6 year old, my proud kindergartner, my first born. Six years ago you taught me that nothing compares to the love a mother has for her child, that life could no longer be about ME. That "life" was so much more than I thought. You are an amazing, bright, beautiful (inside and out), big hearted little girl. You are truly the best big sister ever, but still my little girl! May you never loose that free spirit, the love for animals, nature and our earth. May your self esteem and self confidence always match your intelligence, that my love is what will really count. I love you with my biggest biggest heart. XOXOXO

Lexi was invited to an animal party today. Well Carli was invited as well, but you know Carli, she saw what she wanted to see and she was done. The heat was just not worth it for her. Alexi on the other hand, literally helped the animal handler pack up.

Our first school project

Lexi is learning all about the native Floridian coral reefs in kindergarten. Her first "project" of kindergarten was to create an animal from the coral reef habitat. She choose a clown fish and had so much fun with the project.

the one that you least expect

Carli, my easy going, puts new meaning to Sunday stroll kind of gal hurt herself. Jumping off the air track at a birthday party was the cause of this matter. We were not sure how serious this was going to end up being. She refused to walk on it all evening and the next morning. I took her for an X ray the next morning. They said no obvious breaks or fractures BUT if she continues to not walk on it, bring her to an orthopedic as she could have a hair line fracture. Ugh, are you serious!! Of course, she went the entire weekend not walking on it. I soon came to realize that she was liking the attention of the whole ordeal and slowly prompted her to walk on it. Woohoo, we ended up with a bruised and strained upper arch, a few days of attention and relaxation was the cure!

A lucky momma for sure!

So tonight, I don't use this blog to post any pictures, but just to reflect. Reflect on how thankful I am! Ready for bed, with two dogs staring at me more ready for bed than I am apparently, I think, I reflect ... What a lucky momma I am!

Carli, she is just so proud to be four. Her sweet, little innocent life is all about being FOUR. In her mind she is so big now, kind of like the new 21! She was so brave at the doctors even through her shots, as if this was her rite of passage in turning four. She got her two shots, cried a bit and asked me to erase them. Mommy's are suppose to take away the hurt, right? Carli's personality is un describable. She has this personality that shines and gets you through a tough day. She could careless about what you or the world thinks about her. I will say she is a smart little girl and often surprises us. Her vocabulary alone will make you smile. She uses words like impossible, accessories, chef, ... I mean come on, she is 4 now! She is my middle baby, who will never be lost in the middle.

Lexi, she is just getting so big, her life of course is all about her upcoming birthday! This girl has the biggest heart ever, never a moment goes by where she is not thinking about her sister or brother. She truly is the best big sister ever! She just absolutely loves kindergarten, as she says, it is the best grade ever! She is not so crazy about homework, but she flies right through it, it is way too easy work, as she says. This was one beautiful girl, inside and out and I hope she never looses sight of that!

Gavin, my wild man, my definite birth control! I could not imagine life without him, but man does he keep us going. He sure does loves his momma. As a matter of fact, I am certain he would climb right back into the womb if he could find a way. He is our boy energy without a doubt, climbing, standing and running on couches, climbing on tables, throwing everything, you name it. If it is unsafe, he is doing it. With all that said, he has a smile that could melt anyones heart. He is my little man, my boy I never thought I needed.

I guess the best way to end this, is just how I began it .... WHAT A LUCKY MOMMA I AM!!!

Happy Birthday Carli Reese

So my beautiful souled Carli had a fun filled birthday weekend. Saturday we celebrated pirate princess style with family and friends, yesterday was her actual bday and today was her school birthday. Happy 4th birthday Carli Reese, may you continue to live your life in the years to come as carefree as you do today. May you continue to have that gift of lighting up the world! Never let anything bother you, just as you do today, that is a true gift my love, a true gift! I love you to the moon and stars!
