Alexi ... never lose your wonder!

A princess dress and a lizard!

Christmas Eve with the family

Today we had brunch with Auntie Laurie and our cousins, Mema and Caitlin. What a great time spending time with our family. The girls got to make Christmas tree cones ... Lexi's came complete with a hair! We opened presents to find Lexi's Christmas wish come true ... a lizard!

Ernie ... bringing back one last gift

So this morning, on the Eve of Christmas, we woke up to another present from Ernie. The girls guessed before they even opened! I couldn't imagine why after all these years. I love this tradition of the family pajamas. Even Jessie and Romeo received pj's this year. Every year when I take out the Christmas decorations we all look forward to looking at the years past photos of us proudly displaying our matching attire.

Gingerbread cookie decorating

We had one more Christmas activity we didn't want to forget. We had GIANT gingerbread cookies to decorate. Not sure if Lexi ate more or put more on the cookie. Well, actually I do know ... she definitely ate more! In true Carli fashion, I would have to say most of her materials ended up on the floor and of course she was in no hurry to clean them up! In the end, we did end up with two handsome looking gingerbread boys. The girls claimed they were boys even though they had hair bows.

Ernie at it again!

Ernie the elf did a little switcheroo ... the girls thought this was hilarious!

oops Ernie ... have you learned your lesson yet?

Ernie seems to have a hard time staying out of trouble ... last night he got into all of Gavin's trucks! Seems as if he may have hurt himself going way too fast in the car. Rose the sister elf on the other hand appeared to be just lounging in the back of a truck. It was all good though, as they did bring us back something else from the North Pole.

annual Christmas party

What a party! This was our 6th annual Christmas party. This year we decided to have the party at the beach club and not the house. Such beautiful weather and such beautiful scenery. What an amazing night with family and friends. Perhaps the best part of all, collecting numerous gifts for the Children's Home Society.
