...and we have a cocoon, only 3 days later. Lexi did tell me that it would not take long before it made its cocoon. She said the size of the caterpillar tells you. She insisted on putting the leaves that she found it on in the habitat with it. She said the mommy only lays the eggs on the kind of leaf that they like to eat. This way they can eat and eat until they get bigger and form the cocoon. That girl usually shows me up and teaches me a thing or two!
